M-M overhauls PM

Mayr-Melnhof(M-m0wrapped up an upgrade of PM 3 at its Eerbeek mill in the Netherlands end-October.The revamp will enable the unit to produce folding boxboard,as well as white-lined chipboard(WLC).The rebuilt machine is slated to hit full-scale production toward the end of the year.PM 3's capacity is also set to climb from an estimated 70,000 tonnes/yr to 110,000-120,000 tonnes/yr.The unit will take up the slack from the plant's PM 1 which is to be closed down.
