Ahlstrom and Sonoco partner

Finland's Ahlstrom has hooked up with US firm Sonoco to form Sonoco-Alcore,a partnership focused on the European corboard,tube and core sector.The US firm is the majority shareholder with 64.5%,while Ahlstrom holds the remaining 35.5%.The partners hope to get the thumbs-up from the Eruopean Union's competition authorities by August.
