App snaps up second-hand machinery

The debt-laden Asia Pulp & Paper (APP)group has bought five second-hand fine paper machines and two offline coalers.The equipment is from the Takahagi mill of the bankrupt Japanese firm,Nippon Kakoh Seishi.APP will install the gear at several plants in Indonesia and China.All of the equipment will be modified before startup,which is slated for the end of this year.
