Biron receives softwood pulp make down capability as part of pulp mill switchover

This July,Stora Enso's Biron,Wis.mill started up an automated pulp bale de-wiring system along with a pulper for handling bales of market pulp.The project was funded through the PEP initiative as part of the switchover of the Wisconsin Rapids pulp mill's No.2 fiber line from softwood pulp,which had also been used at Biron,to hardwood kraft pulp production.
