Joint adoption of ISO 14000-ISO 9000 occupational risk prevention practices in Spanish industrial companies:A descriptive study

Stiff competition forces organizations to adopt various quality management systems including ISO 9000.Of late,these organizations are required to satisfy various environmental needs as stated by regulatory bodies.In addition,occupational risk prevention system standard is becoming important for these organizations.Though the scope and objectives of each of the systems are varying in nature,an effort is made to study the opinion of Spanish industrial companies about the advisability of combining the environmental management system (ISO 14001) with other quality management systems and/or occupational risk preventive systems.The advantages of such a combination are also studied.
