A structural analysis of the impact of quality management practices in purchasing on purchasing and business performance

It is well known that purchasing management and quality management concepts are always helpful in improving product quality and service while reducing cost for an organization to gain competitive advantage. The implementation of quality management practices in purchasing is expected to influence not only the purchasing performance, but also has its effect on the overall business performance that is moderated by purchasing performance. This aspect is empirically studied by performing a structured analysis. The constructs identified and their influences are presented. Path coefficients are used to check the proposed hypotheses.
