摘要

With an assumption that the workers' self-reported level of job satisfaction and mental health scores keep varying over the days along which the respondents are interviewed, the data collected from the British Household Panel Survey during 1991 through 2000 are empirically analyzed. In this regard, a detailed information about the data collected by interviewing both men and women workers on randomly chosen days from Monday to Sunday are presented. The models used and the procedures adopted for estimating the level of job satisfaction and mental well-being are presented and the results are analyzed. The possible bias in data collection and the models that can overcome such problems are also discussed. The conclusions of the study are briefed. (28 refs.)
