The relationship between TQM practices and quality performance and the role of formal TQM programs: An Australian empirical study

Organizations that aim for improvement in quality performance implement the well known total quality management (TQM) practices. Most of these organizations announce the implementation of a formal TQM program which is instrumental in adapting various TQM practices. However, there are organizations that do not have any formal TQM program but still follow the TQM practices. In order to know whether there is any relationship between TQM practices and quality performance in both TQM and non-TQM firms based in Australia, it is attempted to conduct a survey-based empirical study. Various statistical analyses are performed, and the outcomes are discussed in detail.
