An assessment of statistical process control-based approaches for charting student evaluation scores

The main purpose of student evaluation of teacher is to effectively monitor and improve instructor performance and student satisfaction levels. An individual control chart is used for this purpose. But the authors of this paper suggest two alternatives, i.e., modified p chart and z score chart and recommend a modified p chart as the best option for analyzing SET data. The approach according to them utilizes distribution that is most appropriate for categorical data. (28 refs.)
