A simulation-based method for the process to allow continuous tracking of quality, cost, and time

For metal-to-metal bonding manufacturing in the aircraft industry, a simulation set up is described, which permits the simultaneous tracking of quality, cost, and time. The approach is claimed to be particularly useful, since the defects of the manufacturing process under study are small, yet difficult to detect and cumulative, so that without early detection finally the product can only be discarded.
