In-depth understanding of -electron systems:New vistas in fullerene endohedrals

摘要

The synthesis and characterization of various endohedral metallofullerenes andtheir derivatives are described. The encapsulated metal atoms’ positions and movementswere determined using NMR study, X-ray crystallographic analysis, and theoretical calcula-tions. The results of electrochemical investigations clarified the relation between the elec-tronic properties and the π-electron systems of the fullerene endohedrals.
