PV component prices to fall

Prices for components used in photovoltaic (PV) solar systems will fall in 2010, but not as much as in 2009. Crystalline module prices last year fell by 37.8%; solar wafer prices plunged by 50% and polysilicon prices dropped 80%, according to researcher iSuppli. Prices will continue falling but at slower rates. In 2010, crystalline module prices will drop 20%; wafer prices will decline 18.2% and polysilicon prices will fall 56.3%.
