Most industry experts and participants polled by Purchasing in November felt there may be another major deal looming in either trucking-LTL specifically-or small parcel in 2007.Lee Buddress,director of the supply and logistics management program at Portland State University in Oregon feels the consolidations will continue,not only domestically,but internationally."The mega-mergers we have seen in other industries are creating oligopoly markets on an international scale and the same probably will occur in logistics," he says.
