NAND flash prices to fall despite strong demand from OEMs

STRONG DEMAND WILL result in the NAND flash memory market growing 13% per year to 13.6 billion in 2007,but buyers will see annual price erosion of just under 10%,NAND tags will fall on average about 9% each year through 2011,says Brian Matas,vice president of market research for IC Insights in Scottsdale,Ariz.Price erosion is due to several reasons,most notably flash's use in cost-conscious consumer electronics equipment.
