In addition to automating the procure-to-pay process,Rockwell Collins uses Orbian,a service that allows it to issue future-dated payment instructions for suppliers before invoices reach their due date."As Rockwell Collins approves these invoices or payments to their suppliers,instead of those approved invoices sitting on their accounts payable and aging until the terms are effective,they send them through to the Orbian system on approval,"says Bill Follini,executive vice president of corporate development at Orbian in Norwalk,Conn.
