IBM enters the open-source foray with new office software

COMPUTER GIANT IBM recently teamed up with OpenOffice.org to orchestrate IBM's entrance into the office software world with a new product suite called Lotus Symphony.The new suite runs programs familiar to most office workers:spreadsheet,presentation and word processing applications.Many businesses run these applications through Microsoft Office,but here's where IBM hopes to make a splash-Lotus Symphony is free.
