Rockwell Collins has about 4,000 direct material suppliers,but that number will likely be reduced during the next 12 months.While it has 4,000 direct suppliers,80% of its US680 million annual spend is with just 460 suppliers.Still,the company believes it can leverage its spend with fewer suppliers.
