Steel wheels,once facing a rapid decline in use,are making a strong comeback as automakers realize they can save up to us 100 per vehicle without losing quality or performance.During the 1980s,with the growing emphasis on fuel economy and the need to reduce vehicle weight,automakers turned to aluminum alloy wheels.In response,steelmakers launched a campaign to create new wheel styling and explore the use of new steels.
