After slipping 1.5% in 2003 to US254 billion,shipments of achinery so far this year are 15% ahead of last year's pace,as new orders are ahead by 18%.There is strength across the board,but economist Ken Kremar at Global Insight in Cambridge,Mass.,says "major categories of machinery are certainly not marching in lock step."
