Volume production of DDR2 gets under way

Samsung Electronics has begun mass production of double data rate 2 (DDR2) DRAMs. The company says it has begun making the industry's 1 gigabyte (GB) DDR2 dual in-line memory module (DIMM), which is based on 512Mb DDR2 components.
