Moving the '05 crop through marketing channels and then managing planting of the '06 crop may prove to be a difficult juggling act for UNITED Potato Growers of America. Despite what it may take, a determined group is making great strides in doing just that. Despite naysayers and some criticism from those on the outside, UNITED has no place for negativity. The group is pressing forward with a bold plan to get a handle on production and marketing of the nationwide potato crop-including all segments. Keeping efficient growers in business is the bottom line.
