During previous cycles of profitable returns, where did potato growers invest their money? In expansion. And why did they do that? My guess is to avoid paying income taxes, which is probably the one thing growers hate more than anything else next to losing money. By investing more money in next year's expanded operation, profits can be deferred and taxes avoided, or at least delayed.
