What is going on in equopean book puoduction? What is happening to books and book readng in developed European countries that from the core of the Euroopean Union? What is the telationship between libraries and publishing houses in the communication circuit of a book? What kind of relationship between non-readers and readers exists in the Euroopean Union? Last but not least, is Europe a unified book market or many islands of diversity, concerning books as a medium? If the latter, how can we measure and compare the patterns of book consumption in Europe.
