In this new volume of the highly respected annual journal, the contributors offer a wide range of studies on the history of incunabula and early modern and modern printing. The articles are written in English, French, German Italian, and Spanish. Five of them examine specific groups of incunabula, seven focus on sixteenth century print history, five pay attention to the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and three investigate the conditions of the modern, contemporary book market. The volume concludes with two articles in which the authors critically examine specific topics in the history of book production, with an obituary, and various reports and documents relevant for the Gutenberg Society.
