Increased libido has been reported as an iatrogenic effect of some drugs, in particular dopaminergic agonists (Klos et al., 2005). Although it is well known that benzodiazepines can lead to behavioural disinhibition, they have rarely been related to undesired sexual urges (Fava and Borofsky, 1991). We present a case of overwhelming sexual desire following lorazepam intake, which even included an episode of 'virtual sexual intercourse'.
