Psychosis, dissociation or delirium? Observations on the importance of differential diagnostics

Sometimes a psychosis, a dissociative pseudo-psychosis or a delirium - especially when overlapping - are not diagnosed as aetiologically separate entities in clinical situations. All may be named "psychosis" or even schizophrenia. Such a practice may give serious consequences for the treatment. The observations in this paper will hopefully act as an invitation for other colleagues' commentaries.
