摘要

Replications of findings in postmortem brain research into psychiatric disorders are particularly important. It was therefore with great pleasure that our findings of decreased [3H]ketanserin binding in the superior temporal gyrus (Pralong et al., 2000) have recently been replicated in a paper in this journal as that study used a different postmortem brain collection (Kang et al., 2009). As the authors did not discuss our study, which was completed in the postero-superior part of superior temporal gyrus (planum temporale), with respect to their recent findings it would seem appropriate to put our findings in context with more recent findings on the status of serotonin 2A receptors (5-HT2AR) in the Central Nervous System (CNS) of subjects with schizophrenia.
