Qatar close to inking deal with ExxonMobil

A US10-12 bn deal with ExxonMobil Corp.to ship liquefield natural gas to the US from Qatar is expected to be concluded within weeks,Qatar Energy Minister Abdullah Al-Attiyah has said.The deal,if struck,will see 15 m.t.of LNG shipped each year to the US by the end of the decade,and will create a joint venture between ExxonMobil and Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company Ltd.,or RasGas.
