It is a btter fact that the country has not been able to contribute a single new drug discovered and developed in the country to the international pool of drugs so far.The basic question is whether you want the country to keep on producing copy cats based on "Piracy culture" widely prevalent in the country and its latest equally wide spread version "snatching away culture" on payment of nominal royalty unilaterally being very strongy advocated by a powerful section of industry wit strong vested commercial interests to counter product patent post 2005 or an enlightened self reliant R&D based Pharma sector actively engaged in development of new drugs,techniques,technologies and newer scientific disciplines for improved healthcare of the people,i.e.replacement of imitation culture with innovative culture.
