WILL IT WORK FOR THE MAINTENANCE PAINTING OF MAJOR STEEL BRIDGES?

To reduce costs and litigation on paint ing projects,the industry has often argued clearer,more detailed specifications,pre job meetings,and third party inspectors for owners.What we haven't heard are arguments for a com pletely different type of project delivery.Instead,we have assumed that the traditional design-bid-build approach(or,in the case of maintenance painting,design bid repaint)will be the project delivery system.In the traditional design bid build approach,the owner commissions an architect or engineer to prepare draw ings and specifications under a design contract and subsequently selects a construction contractor by competitive bidding or negotiation.
