Seroepidemiological study of viral hepatitis among workers of the Cleaning Department of the Municipality of Vyronas: Preliminary results of a single centre study

Viral hepatitis due to hepatitis A virus (HAV), hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a global public health problem. Although recent data suggest that there has been a decline in viral hepatitis in Greece, high-risk subpopulations exist. There are specific categories of professions among high-risk groups (healthcare workers, policemen, prostitutes, etc.) including workers of the cleaning departments of the municipalities.
