Reliance posts 16.5% rise in Q1 net profit

Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) has reported a 16.5% increase in net profit at Rs. 720 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, on the back of low raw material cost, product price increase and a curb on expenditure. The company had reported a net profit of Rs. 618 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
