Rapporteur's report on Session 4-exposure and dosimetry

摘要

The session on exposure and dosimetry was organized into platform and poster presentations. Posters were available for viewing throughout the conference (ICNIRP, 2011), and authors were present before the platform session and during the break. The platform presentations consisted of three invited papers and five contributed papers. There were seven poster presentations. They spanned the topics of exposure to magnetic fields from induction heating cooktops (hobs) in homes, transformer stations, and radio frequency fields from base stations (Wi-Fi hot spots found in school buildings) and microwave ovens in commercial installations. The method of assessments included numerical computations and instrumental measurements. Presenters came from East Asia and both Eastern and Western Europe. The panel discussions were spirited with contributions from a wide range of participants. The purpose of this report is to summarize the main points made during the exposure and dosimetry session.
