1-Amino-1-hydrazo-2,2-dinitroethene(2)has been observed to spontaneously decompose with considerable violence during storage.Its preparation and handling should be regarded as potentially hazardous.The experimental details for the reaction of 1,1-diamino-2,2-dinitroethene(1,FOX-7)with hydrazine to form 1-amino-1-hydrazo-2,2-dinitroethene(2)and the further reaction of the latter to form its hydrazinium salt(3)have already been reported(Scheme 1)[1,2].
