Bioinformatics institute to promote human genome research

The Institute of Bioinformatics, a non-profit organisation for promoting research in bioinformatics, was formally inaugurated in Bangalore's International Technology Park recently. Set up by Dr. Akhilesh Pandey, a professor at John Hopkins University School of Medicine, USA, the institute looks at research that will help annotate the human genome.
