HC rejects DGFT move to stop issue of advance license

The Bombay High Court has rejected the Director General of Foreign Trade's (DGFT) circulars directing its offices across India not to issue advance license for the import of natural rubber for export purposes. Earlier all imports of natural rubber against export commitments used to attract a basic duty of 25% apart from a 4% special additional duty.
