In India, Asian development model has been followed for a long time. According to this model, people have been dependent on each other to such an extentthat rural India emerged as one such model, paving way for meeting the social and economic needs through collective and domestic responsibilities. After independence, India changed the rural development model to enhance the farm production. The new agriculture development model was dependent on international resources, which were of high quality and had better work efficiency. The facilities for farm machinery, chemicals, seed, fertilizers, farm loans, power and irrigation came from foreign sources.
