Advancing Fruit Maturity in Peach

PEACH is one of the most important fruit crops grown in Punjab. Flordasun, Shan-I-Puujab and Partap arc the cultivars grown on commercial Scale in the state. The fmaturity of the early ripening varieties starts from 20th April onwards. Practically no fruit is locally available in the market during the month of April. Therefore, advancing the fruit maturity in peach can be highly remunerative because the early picked fruit gets premium in the market.
