Food Stuff Contamination with Fluoride

FLUOROSIS is caused by intake of fluoride and the malady is slow, progressive and crippling in nature which affects people of all ages. In India, the states-of U.P., Rajasthan, -Gujarat, A.P. and Tamil Nadu are worst affected with 75% districts in each state affected. In Punjab the areas of Ferozepur, Faridkot, Bauiifida and Sangrur are endemic for flouride contamination while these are Patches of such fluoride prone area in Patiala and Amntsar. Not only India, but several others nations in the woild are severely affected by this problem.
