Improved Crop Management for Kharif Moong and Mash

摘要

MOONG and mash are the important kharif pulses of the Punjab state. Moong and mash have protein rich grains, which is an integral part of diet of human beings. These crops occupy a unique position in Indian agriculture as these have the capacity to fix atmospheric nitrogen through root nodules and thus enrich the soil fertility. Both these crops can be grown under rainfed as well as irrigated conditions and played a great role in crop diversification.
