Cultural Control of Cabbage Semilooper on Berseem

CABBAGE semilooper (Hari Sundi) is a polyphagous pest and ranks among the major insect-pests of Berseem, Lucerne, Shaftal, Senji and and Oats. It feeds on berseem from February to first week of May but heavy damage is caused only during Match-April. The use of the pesticides to control this lepidopterous pest on forage crops is neither desirable nor practicable but the suitable pest management as discussed in this article would certainly help to combat pest menace and check economic losses.
