Estrous Symptoms during Pregnancy in Dairy Animals

PREGNANT dairy animals mostly do not show signs of estrous during pregnancy. This condition is not true especially in exotic and crossbred cows. These animals show signs of estrous even when they are pregnant. In most of the cases the cows which showsigns of estrous during pregnancy has a history of cystic ovaries. The symptoms of heat are mostly observed in the first quarter of pregnancy. The symptoms may occur once or twice. These signs of estrous are different from normal heats in that the pregnant animals do not come into heat at regular interval of 21 days. The interval is usually more, otherwise symptoms do not differ.
