THE Citrus is the most important fruit crop among the sub-tropical fruits of the world. In India also citriculturc is the third largest fruit industry and occupies an important place in the economy of the country. In Punjab citrus fruits occupy about49 nerceflt of the total area under fruits out of which kinnow mandarin alone occupies 30 percent of tinarea.
