Research Achievements of the PAU

摘要

THE scientists of the Punjab Agricultural University continued its research endeavours aimed at improving the productivity and profitability of major farming systems in the state so as to achieve the goal of sustainable agriculture. The main highlightof the research activities of the University since 1994 was comprehensive review of the ongoing research projects in different departments to modify and reorient their research programmes depending upon new priorities and thrust areas. Forty five improved varieties (including ten hybrids) of field, vegetable and fruit crops have been released for general cultivation in the Punjab State since 1994.
