Market arrival of wheat and paddy are limited to a short period. It has been observed that 75-88 per cent of the market arrival of wheat occurs during mid-April to May and nearly 85-95 per cent of the arrival of paddy is during October - November. Asa result of heavy arrival of grains within a short span, there occurs a glut in the market.
