Produce quality seed potato

In Punjab, potato is cultivated over an area of 81.08 thousand hectares, producing about 2001.10 thousand tonnes of potato tubers. The state has established itself as a seed producing state in the country. Most of the potato produced in the state is supplied as seed to the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh etc. The state was also declared as Agricultural Export Zone (AEZ) for seed potato.
