DSM buys Roche vitamins and fine chemicals

Dutch chemicals group DSM NV said that it expects the acqusition of the vitamins and fine chemicals group of Roche Holding AG to add "sharply" to group earnings per share once the purchase it completed, likely in the first quarter of 2003. DSM is buying the unit for EUR2.25 billion.
