Economics of biogas plants

Biogas is rich in methane and can be used directly for heating purposes, cooking, lighting or power generation. The anaerobic digestion produces biogas on renewable basis, eliminates foul smell and reduces harmful bacteria. BIOGAS is a clean biofuel produced by microorganisms or bacteria during anaerobic digestion of organic matter (like cattle dung, poultry droppings, pig excreta, human excreta etc.), The biogas produced is rich in methane (55-65 %) and can be used directly for heating purposes, cooking, lighting or power generation. The anaerobic digestion produces biogas on renewable basis, eliminates foul smell and reduces harmful bacteria of organic wastes, improves nitrogen and phosphate content of resulting slurry to yield highly enriched fertilizers.
