Insect pests of peach, plum & pear and their management

摘要

Peach, pear and plum are important temperate fruit crops grown in sub-tropics of the Punjab. The initiation of early foliage and flowering in these fruit crops lead them to early infestation by several insect and mite pests. It is thus important to visit the orchards as early as possible to save the crop from the ravages of insects especially aphids in February-March and subsequently the other pests infesting foliage or fruits. In this text an attempt is made to elaborate the infestation time and management of different insect and mite pests on these fruit crops.
