A key to prevent anaemia

Iron deficiency-anaemia is a major public health problem in India, where a large proportion of growing children, pregnant mothers, adolescent females and reproductive-age women are affected. The report of second National Family Health Survey of Indiarevealed that in Punjab 80 per cent of children in age bracket 6-35 months are anaemic and even 41 per cent women suffered from some degree of anaemia.
